An important part of the JOSA formula from the start has been our "sit-in" musicians.   Like the jazz sessions of years ago in Chicago and New York where musicians who could "cut it" were allowed to sit-in, JOSA is no different.   Whether you're a veteran performer who happens to be in town on the day of our session or a young student ready to try his hand in the company of world-class jazz musicians, you're welcome at the JOSA sessions.

Nothing drives jazz musicians to new heights like a little friendly challenge.   The true jazz session has always been a kind of tutorial where musicians of all abilities are mentored by the experience itself to better their playing and form new friendships.   JOSA continues this tradition and offers a reduced ticket price to performing sit-in musicians.
